News Release
St. Francis Music Publications, Lucas Drew (see bio), editor, announces its new catalogue of double bass music and recordings for students and professionals. Two new transcriptions highlight the eight initial works - Corelli's La Follia Sonata for Double Bass and Piano and Popper's Requeim for Three Double Basses and Piano. Also included is the recently released CD 20th Century Sampler for Double Bass featuring compositions by Persichetti, Henze, Proto, Luening, Hoag, Gibson, Reed, etc.
Among the additional works now added to the St. Francis offerings are the Dvorak Sonatina, op.100, Brahms Sonata Movement (Scherzo), and the CDs- Double Bass Sampler and Double Bass Sampler II.
